Karthik Bhat has been trained in Guru-Shishya tradition. His learning experience has been over 20 years and performed in 2000+ music concerts, which have collectively brought him the right experience, to share his knowledge in Tabla.
He believes that the right technique is the key to master any art. Understanding the basic concepts and having clarity over the instrument enhances the learning process of a student.
Karthik's vision is to guide the students in the rightful direction through his experience with the instrument and vast learnings which he has received from his teachers, enabling the student to learn better and faster.
With the help of technological advancements, classes are conducted through online platforms and offline classes take place at Bangalore.

BEGINNER
In the initial phase of learning, the foundation is laid stronger by exposing the student to learn the right finger techniques.
Students will be taught the fundamental theory which help them get a hold on basic taalas and compositions.
With regular practice , a student will be able to grasp the lessons taught in the Intermediate level of training.
INTERMEDIATE
After having the clarity on important syllabals and compositions, development of Kaidas and Relas are taught.
Exploring the world of different Gharanas (schools), experimenting the practice with Lehera are the key lessons in intermediate phase.
The detailed understanding of Laya is imparted in a student to enable him/her to get a grip on further advanced lessons.
ADVANCED
At this stage, the focus is on sensible playing. The balanced sound production is the key aspect, which will bring out the harmony allowing the listener as well as the performer to enjoy the music.
Deep learning of rare taalas, fixed compositions in different jaatis are part of this training phase.
The student is also taught about tuning, clarity on vocal and instrumental accompaniment.
With dedicated practice, the student will be capable of presenting flavours of their own depending on his/her thought process.
